It was spontaneous. A natural, inevitable groundswell of popular discontent. Kids across America were just fed up – with the fear, the shootings, even The System. They banded together across the land, with no professional political organizers’ help or funding, to take the courageous risk of walking out of school during class hours on March 14 for seventeen minutes – to honor the 17 students murdered in Parkland, Florida by a twisted, rage-filled gunman. They risked everything to speak their minds freely, to not be silenced by the authorities, to #NeverForget.
At least that’s the way it was portrayed by a media practically salivating onto their microphones, solemn-faced school authorities, and many politicians. But the “Enough! Walkout” was not all it was pre-announced to be. First of all it wasn’t a walkout at all but a formally sanctioned event in the school day, highly advertised in advance, and blessed and encouraged by school authorities. (Like many principals across the country, my daughter’s principal sent out a pleasant email to parents the day before the event describing it as non-political, optional, and highly approved by the administration.) It wasn’t exactly required to walk out, but there was definitely something riskier about being one of the few choosing to remain in the classroom than the bravery of the vast majority of the student body walking out, led by their teachers and administrators.

This piece is slightly off topic from our usual politically-focused articles. However, with the tremendous increase in abuse against women that’s been taking place in America and western Europe, not only because of the influx of Muslim males who often lack a distinct cultural and moral respect for women as God’s creation to themselves, but also because of the collapse of western male’s traditional respect for the dignity of women, articles like this are increasingly important to post.

California continues its quest to be the craziest state in the union. The ACLU cosponsored this bill and described it as “modernizing” California HIV laws. In their report, the ACLU said that the law criminalizing the [intentional] exposure of others to the HIV virus was passed in the 1980s and was “based on fear and the limited medical understanding of the time.” LGBT activists also praised the new law, alleging that the former legislation unfairly disfavored specific groups (people of color and transgender women). The new law clearly indicates that if you wanna infect someone with HIV on purpose, hey – it’s just a misdemeanor now, nothin’ serious.

Okay the NFL’s not finished, not by a long shot. But this is a great image by artist Tom Stigligh that well captures the emotional frustration many lifelong pro football fans (including yours truly) feel about the controversial, divisive, and entirely unnecessary intrusion of empty political symbolism into your formerly relaxing Sunday afternoon.

If your university’s administration is stocked full of sycophants to the Progressive theology, it’s likely they will dutifully allow a platform for your leftist message and hesitate to resist your passion for “Social Justice” even if it should it become violent. And parents of all political persuasions, faced with spending tens of thousands of dollars a year for college (even in-state), are not hesitating to cross your school off their list of places they believe would provide their son or daughter a safe and educational environment.

Since when did police just stand down and watch while people assembling peaceably, as is their right under the First Amendment, are viciously attacked by masked punks wielding nail-driven boards? Since 2017. But the last time before that, which we as a nation remember of course, were the race riots of the ’60s. The police stand down when they’re told to by local or state authorities, and that’s exactly what happened this weekend. It was wrong in the ’60s and it’s wrong now.
James Queally, the crime reporter for the Los Angeles Times, tweeted, “There is a complete mob mentality here. People are randomly accusing random people of being Nazis.” Another Tweet added, “The moderate counter protesters are livid with the violence. ‘We need to get Antifa out of here.’ said man who helped break up fight.’”
