Like frogs, who are incapable of detecting the smooth, slow approach of a snake because their eyes are only adapted to see the quick movements of flies, western nations seem unable to see the infiltration of their homelands by an insidious ideology whose sworn goal is to destabilize, out-populate, overwhelm, and conquer them.
Virtue-signaling, the lazy, self-justifying compulsion of most progressives you went to school with, is the act of communicating by words, actions, or illustration their passion for some social justice issue that makes them look 1) caring; 2) in step with the times. It doesn’t need to be followed up with any walking of the talk, it just needs to be signified on Facebook cover photos, t-shirts, or words spoken a little louder than necessary at Starbucks. And although the hot social issue du jour for leftists changes a bit every 2 – 3 years, when an issue is “in”, it’s In. And today what’s In is “Welcoming Refugees”.
The western left’s feverish defense of and excuses for everything Muslim, including treating women badly, continues apace. Recently the Associated Press and CNN lauded Czech teenager Lucie Myslikova as a budding feminist the world should take note of. But in their haste to lionize her as a woman standing up to a neo-Nazi at a rally, they completely failed to care that her argument in favor of Open Borders was that women being raped is just the price we have to pay for “diversity, peace, and understanding.”
By preventing a Hillary Clinton administration we’ve dodged a potentially fatal bullet to American democracy, but the mere act of electing Donald Trump won’t automatically make anything better. What we will have, however, is a real opportunity to address the crippling, urgent problem of illegal immigration – which for the first time ever became a high-profile campaign issue in U.S. elections.
This election will determine the fate of our nation. With Donald Trump we have a chance, and it is only that. Over the past few years we have learned to our shock and dismay just how corrupt and out of touch our elected officials really are. They have an agenda and it does not include the American people, except in extracting as much of our resources as possible. They are a powerful force. I don’t know if Donald Trump can overcome it, but I do know that no one else can.
This open letter was submitted by a reader of Ann Corcoran’s invaluable Refugee Resettlement Watch blog yesterday in anticipation of Donald Trump’s visit to that state on Monday. Written by a grandmother who’s lived in the state long enough to watch it decline from the auto capital of the world to a third world country pumped with resettled, unvetted Muslims on welfare or in low wage jobs, is highly worth reading.
